Customer Service Quote by Jeffrey GitomerNo matter what we choose to do in life, in one way or another we're serving somebody. While CEO's and top executives are calculating the monetary "bottom line", the real bottom line is measured by how happy people are.

When I start to feel frustrated about all the things I "need" to do (actually, 80% of it doesn't really need to be done), I stop and ask myself, Why are you doing this? Is this particular task a priority and will it help someone? If you do this task, will you put all your energy into it so that it's done correctly?

Another thought that comes to mind when I'm feeling overwhelmed with work:

“Remember why you’re here.”

That thought is also Kevin Stirtz's Amazing Customer Service Rule #1. Society and most of the business world have us thinking that we're here to make money. In actuality, money is just a by-product of our purpose in life. When you feel a sense of purpose, you are able to look at the grand scheme of things and experience happiness with your work. You begin to understand that we're all here to utilize the talents and gifts that we have to help other people.

So, in essence, ALL OF US work in customer service. If you can remember that and do your best to help everyone the way that you would like to be helped, you will ALWAYS succeed.

I guarantee it.
