Lately I've been engrossed in so much client work that I found myself uninspired and unmotivated, so writing and blogging about it will hopefully get me back on track - and hopefully I can inspire to get you back on track as well!
As much as I wanted to have all these clients who wanted me to write content for them - after all, my goal was to make money with my writing - it came to a point where I wasn't able to update my blogs as often as I wanted. In the back of my mind I kept thinking about all those probloggers who say in order to make money by blogging you have to post at least once a day. Here I was juggling three clients and finding time to get in a few blog posts here and there.
However, I learned to just let go. When I stopped trying so hard to accomplish everything on the "To Do" list, I was able to actually get things done!
Here's the secret to being more productive, motivated, and inspired: Stop thinking about everything that you need to do!
When I focused on just one task at a time and enjoyed what I was doing, my energy levels rose. I was able to accomplish more because I was in the moment and I was excited. Instead of stressing out over all the things that needed to be done, I refocused that energy and started feeling grateful for being able to work from home which had been a dream for years and has finally turned into a reality!
So the next time you start to feel unmotivated and overwhelmed with things to do, here's what you can do:
1. Stop and ask yourself, Do I really have to accomplish all these things today? Chances are there are only one or things that absolutely have to be done.
2. Choose one thing to do and focus all of your attention on it.
3. Take a deep breath and enjoy the process!
