What's Up With Google?

If you’re like me, you like to keep up on the latest news going on in the “Web 2.0” world. You probably heard about Google buying YouTube for $1.65 billion which I believe was bound to happen sooner or later. I agree with the 10 reasons why the Google and Youtube deal makes sense. Now there’s talk that Google will start offering video ads through their Adsense program. Or perhaps Google will be offering free podcast hosting and advertise via the podcasts. I’m not quite sure. All I know is Google is up to something. In my opinion, either way it doesn’t matter. I have trust that the company will make it a win-win situation.

Five Tips to Help You Start Making Money with Google Adsense

We all know that online social websites have been popping up everywhere - and with good reason, it seems that these companies are making big money through the traffic and Google ad sense revenue. I was reading OnlineAdSwami, a blog that offers information on making money through online ads, and there’s an article about people who have been dubbed the “Internet’s Biggest Google Whores” by John Chow. These people are making six figures through their either an online dating site, social bookmarking site, or own a network of blogs. The question that goes through my mind is: What is going to be the next big thing? And how can I get in on it now before it explodes? Anybody can make money on the internet, however, you really have to want it to make it happen for you! Ask yourself, "Do I really want this?" Here are my four tips to help you start making money through Google Adsense: 1) Give yourself a monthly goal each month, write it down, and look at that goal every day. Start out small and increase your goal every month. Think baby steps! If you think baby steps you won't feel overwhelmed. This will keep you inspired to take action every day towards that goal. 2) Read as much as you can about making money with Google adsense. A couple blogs I recommend: Make Easy Money with Google and Adsense Making Money with Google Adsense, Blogging, & SEO 3) Test, test, and test some more. Try placing ads in different places on your website and then track the results. I've found that placing ads on the top left of a page brings in more clicks. 4) Of course you can't make money without traffic coming in to your site. I believe that whatever you think about will happen for you if you have the determination, will, and you simply stay positive!
